I read this sentence on icanread the other day and couldn’t help but thinking: really?
What if you experienced unrighteousness, unfairness, injustice – could you just turn away and not care?
What if you were about to lose someone you love – would you just forget about it and carry on with your life?
I think a lot about this recently.
There is a person in my life who messes with my family – she tries to drive a wedge between us, playing off one of us against the others.
I realise this being a heavy allegation but it’s just so frustrating to see a change of character in a family member who used to be honest, truthful and honourable, but has pretty much lost all of these traits for another person’s influence on them.
So what do you do in a situation like that?
Accept the fact that the family member is being dishonest to you (flat-out lies to you, actually) and just carry on with your life even though your relationship might break apart?
Simply CARE LESS and be happier?
[This post wasn’t meant to be a downer, but Monday mornings are a time for me to think about ethics and approach general topics from a philosophical perspective as much as they are time for inspiration. I hope this post inspired you nonetheless, even if it just inspired you to think about the quote and what it means to you.]
